Hi guys,
Here are some more tidbits.
The unit I chose was the Electric Yachts Inc system because another CC 35-II
owner here in Toronto installed one in his in 2010 and I got a ride on the boat
in 2012 and was impressed.
Opposed to all other boat items, I chose a professional installer who did
box with new packing, I had it as loose as
possible for about 15 minutes while at dockside to let water absorb into the
flax, then I tightened it slowly till the drips stopped.
I re-adjusted underway.

measured and it appears the scuppers are about 1' above the waterline and 2'
apart, so would have to heel about 30 degrees plus, which is a big n
that his are crossed.

n and construction manual
that for sailboats it is best to cross them over, so when heeling, you still
drain the cockpit.
What says the crew on this list?

ey end up? Is it straight into the lead, or does the casting sit on
that wood composite concoction everybody else talks about as having to be
replaced?
When I last sailed her 7 years ago, no issues on stay tension were noticed.
Just asking.

Hi all,
More on my Edson steering rebuild. In the Edson catalogue, they show 2
different styles of rudder stops. When I poked my nose under the sole, I
noticed there never were any, just some wear marks on the fiberglass cloth.
What do the other boats have?

So this is interesting because you're saying the wires were swaged and EDSON is
telling me as well as showing on their literature that they use nicropress and
thimble fittings...

Is that what other listers have?
Why pay EDSON their big fee when you can get those parts easily at a good
hardware store, or chandlery?

That is fresh off the press from Edson, flat side down.
Now another question for Edson users, Does anyone have stock on those hollow
bolts that go through the cockpit sole? EDSON no longer carries them.

So far 2 down, one up, we should run a betting pool and I will be speaking with
EDSON, whose sketches are a bit sketchy and who don't make a point of saying.
Will let you guys know. The rebuilt rudder is back in...just the motor and
steering controls and we have a boat....
