Nope, what you are looking for, normal windows desktops cant do in the first

If you are running a windows 2000+AD domain, you already have the tools to control

Last I heard, tightvnc did just this.. I don't have

Simple, to use SSH you have to connect to your local machine,
as that is where one end of the 'tunnel' resides..
Thus the term 'loopback', as the client is hitting the same address that its
running on...
Perhaps you should read the notes on the vnc pages to see pictures...

I only meant license wise, not functionality wise..
VNC works fine with XP ( though I've not tested 2003 yet ), but if you

Your best bet is to use SSH and redirect it that way.
You also gain security with the encryption of SSH,

While it may be faster for users over dialup, it does not
do all that vnc does. Across a lan, it's a wash.
There are several other issues, the main ones being:
1 - licensing, you have to have the right combination of windows
products to be legal. ( or even to function )
2 - Multi-platform
Systemtools ( the people that make hyena ) also have a FREE
remote control tool that ships with Hyena but is available
As a separate free download.
It basically just installs VNC ( your flavor of choice ) onto

It's a great standalone program ( and also great as part of

port 5900 (I've also tried 5901) and I'm referencing the corresponding port when
running the client.
Any thoughts anyone 'cos I don't know where else to turn at this moment???
