If you have control of the local name resolution in your shop, they can use a 'friendly name' instead of an IP address.. such as 'accounting', or 'toms'..
Just add the 'pretty' name to your DNS or wins tables..so the new name translates to the respective server. If you mean for you to access the workstations, its YOU that are putting in server address/name.. not them.. If users always go to the same server you can create a batch file that is attached to a VNC setting export and it will attach to that server automatically ( see 'save connection info' in the menu ).
