As Corne stated, some applications work badly when you have two
(or more) NIC connected to the same network, because you have a loop
in your network topology. Here are some alternatives but they all
depend on what you've got.
1. What NIC and switch transfer rate have you got? If they're at

Do you mean you have two network interfaces? Because if you've

And when you gave the example of 190.220.1.0, I hope it's really

If you've got a web server (and of course forwarded its port to
outside), you could also check that you can't access it using your
public IP address from inside. It has nothing to do with VNC.

Remote desktop (aka TS client) doesn't support for tab either.
Having tabs would be nice if viewer screen's resolution is larger
than server screen's. For same screen size, that would force
appearance of scroll bars, which might cause more trouble than before.
It's, of course, nice if

Normally, changing locale shouldn't change port, but who knows?

From your discussion, I can see there's a confusion or misunderstanding
in command line options. As far as I can see, some options to winvnc4 are
mutually exclusive. For example, when you use "-start", "PortNumber" is
ignored. In other words,

I think you mixed up the use of VNC viewer and VNC listener. Use VNC
viewer instead since you've already open the necessary port in your router.
Since you've renewed your IP address (not your DHCP, actually), it
might have been changed. Don't forget to adapt any change of IP address to

You've used the word "box" twice, but I felt like they have different
meanings. The first "box" is a field while the second is the client window
which is supposed to display the server desktop, right?

Why did you change it in the registry while you could do it in VNC's
properties windows? Go to "Connections" tab, at the second text field you
could find "Disconnect idle clients ".

That's what I thought. Installation in a server must always be done
via Add/remove programs.
Have you thought of the possibility that all your problems are
related? I said so because 0X007B error mostly means a hard disk
problem.
You see, you said your static IP network died. I don't know what that
means exactly!? Because a network is a set of several machines linked
