First, what did you mean by "shift VNC session" in your subject?
Do it simply mean "move the VNC client window (to another monitor)"?

     Otherwise, no intent to hurt, but personally I don't quite
understand your description of problem.

     But there's one thing people always think wrongly (as I've stated
in another post): WinVNC only shows what's already shown on screen,
and this implies also the screen resolution/dimension.
