The 0.8 PF is a design criteria by which the generator manufacturer
specs the capacity of the genset. The genset has to provide the
reactive power not just the real component, so most use the 0.8PF as
a reasonable spec. In your case with the Magnum charger presenting

Maybe their position has changed, but
the last time I looked into AC coupling a Fronius inverter I was
told by Fronius that it would void their warranty. Has that policy
changed?

160A is not a "standard" OCPD value (NEC 2011; 240.6). I'd go with the
next smaller size, or 150A. I would size the ampacity of the feeder
conductors for 175A.
