I have a document which uses French and English. The language selected for
the document is French; some passages are in English. However, in the DVI
file, all the headings are in English.
Looking at the LaTeX file, I see that in the \documentclass command,

It's a pity that LyX defaults to ispell rather than aspell when both are
present, as aspell provides an ispell binary anyway, so even if you don't
install proper ispell, LyX will still default to using the ispell
compatibility mode of aspell.

A confusing thing: if you insert a URL in a document, LyX automatically
includes url.sty, but if you have a URL in an included file, or in my case,
a bibliography entry, this doesn't happen.

and the space causes an error message; it should be

I'm using LyX 1.1.6fix2, in which math-mode is bound to "C-c asciitilde" in
xemacs.bind. This is an impossible binding on my keyboard, where I can only
get a tilde by pressing shift, and I had to change it to "C-c S-asciitilde"
to get it to work.

I just tried to save a file when I'd moved the directory that used to

LyX 1.0.0 running on Linux (installed from the RPM) just SIGSEVed on me. I
had just started a "buffer-export-dvi" command. I've done this lots of
times without any problems before. I just reloaded LyX and ran the command

1. The COPYING file is now *extremely* confusing. "Patching" the GNU
license means that LyX is now distributed under an unfamiliar license, and

whether it's preferable to map two commands to one symbol or turn one

window doesn't have the focus; sometimes I assume the window does have the
