First, a general point: it'd be nice if exporting LaTeX and reimporting it
gave you the same LyX document as you started with. I know that's impossible
at the moment, because LyX can't in some cases recognise which commands it
put there itself (e.g. commands that express user preferences) and which
were written by the user in the preamble (or ERT). Perhaps if LyX defined a
few more LaTeX commands of its own, reLyX could then recognise these and
convert LyX-produced elements back into LyX when re-reading.

I still think it's a pity that you don't save LyX files as a normalised form
of LaTeX, just because it makes this trivial (and because you would no
longer need an "export as LaTeX", and wouldn't even need a .lyx filetype;
but no doubt this has all been thrashed out before and you have good
reasons, even if only inertia, for staying as you are).

Now on to a more specific point: just now I reimported a document which had
an xfig external material import inside a figure. When I reimported the
document, the xfig import was not inside the figure any more! Also, the
Input had gone wrong, because it was trying to input figurename.pstex_t.lyx,
not just figurename.pstex_t.
