I just tried to save a file when I'd moved the directory that used to contain it, so LyX said "directory not found" or somesuch. Then, to my delight, it offered to save it renamed. Excellent. I clicked on "Save" and it then brought up the first error box again. Oops. However, when I clicked "OK" it brought up the "Save as" box, and all went well. So the feature works fine, but it is a little confusing to see the error box twice.
