Is it possible to place user files such as keymaps, layout classes &c. in
a different directory tree from that in which LyX is installed? Now that
RPMs are becoming available, and assuming that 1.0 will be made available
this way (which is an excellent thing for users who don't want to/don't
know how to/can't compile the program), it would be great if user
additions could go in /usr/local in the same way as for other systems like
TeX.
