What weight oil are you using , for example 5w20 or 10w30 etc. ?
Is your system voltage holding steady or falling as you run the engine for a
while ?. A drop in voltage will affect your gauge reading.

Call your local exterminator and have him check your aircraft and your house
or shop for infestation. You may have a nest in your home which can be even
more expensive than your plane. He can inspect your craft for signs of
damage and protect your home and plane from future problems. I bet
I would suggest you perform a cylinder leakage test using compressed air.
You may find a ring or valve problem on one or more cylinders.
Having read through the archives researching the fuselage length for a KR2S it
would seem that the consensus is to add two inches in front of the front spar

Most likely your tach is receiving a pulse from both systems. Some where
the two systems are interconnected. Chase out your wiring to find the point
that connects both systems to the Tach and separate them. As others have
mentioned this can easily be done with a DPDT switch and can also be do
Attaching the Tach to two active coils at the same time will give incorrect
and or erratic readings even if the diodes are used. It will count the
pulses from both coils and add them together unless they are in absolutely
perfect synchronization. The smallest difference in pulse timing will
WD40 is also good at removing adhesive residue and bugs as well.

How about throwing the barrels in the freezer overnight. I would think
