Today I had the honor to meet Joe Horton. I cannot believe he took the time to too fly 200 miles to show a complete stranger a beautiful aircraft. This just blew me away, as did his aircraft. Joe's plane shows excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. Joe answered the usual 100 questions and allowed me to try it on for size. ( YEP IT FITS ) . Everyone wanted to know why I was smiling so much at work today. If Joe is, as I suspect, truly representative of KR builders and pilots, then they are a special breed. His aircraft even sounds as great as it looks. When departing he made a low pass, at somewhat higher than usual pattern speeds , down the runway. It sounded like a P51, SWEET !. Now I have to go write a check for plans. Many thanks Joe. I Hope you fly many happy hours in your bird.
