Yes and yes. I eventually got it off, but I can’t recall now how I did it (it
was a while ago). Try using some penetrating oil and let it sit before hitting
it again. I’ll take a look at mine and see if I can recall anything else I may
have done.

I use Rigging Only (in MA) for lifelines, sheets, halyards, and the like. They
will know what size you need for the pelican hook.

were you able to adjust the height so it no longer
rubbed against the clamp ring? Or were you able to lubricate it a bit so it
didn't squeak?

Last evening I installed my wind transducer at the masthead using an ATN

I'm reading less e-mail traffic due to the attachment issue. I previously
read everything from the list. If there's an attachment, I only open it if
the subject line is enticing.
I think John Read may be on to something.

I was using Outlook on a Windows 10 machine when it started. Today I
began using a newer version of Outlook on a Windows 11 machine. I ran into the
same issue -- some e-mail notes come through normally, others as an attachment.
Your note below came through fine, by the way.
Seems to be working here as well.

FWIW, I used a Loos gauge for my rod rigging this past spring to equalize the
tension of my upper and lower shrouds. While sailing in a breeze, I noted that
the lower shrouds were loose compared to the upper shrouds. Go figure.
