I also used Lewmar opening ports for the four cabin ports on my 34 (replacing the old style oval windows). They really helped to air out the cabin and control the heat.

We have a pressure alcohol stove and the port really helps to vent the fumes. The only trick is to ensure the bulkhead thickness is uniform.
