We just upgraded several AIX clients to TSM 3.7. I noticed that all the upgraded nodes
appear to have problems after the successful backup of /usr with tcpip error messages.
These are suspect because all the nodes have the same error message after the
successful backup of /usr at different time
We just went from ADSM 3.1 to TSM 3.7. It took less than a minute for your size db. I
understand it just adds some tables. It actually just occurred as part of the

I am also working on the upgrade to TSM. Can anyone give more specific information

There is a redbook on an intro to ADSM. Go to the redbooks site and look,

Eric,
Do your customers know that AIX 4.1 and 4.2 are also unsupported? Why worry
about the ADSM/TSM client if the OS running underneath has the same
problem??? I'd really recommend your customers to investigate their
migration to AIX 4.3. ASAP. BTW: if your customer wants new HW (systems,

My experience is no problem with the OS390 ADSM/TSM server upgrade. I would

I would say that client upgrades should be stringently tested.
For example if you have netware clients I would recommend stringent benchmark
comparisons between the 3.1 ADSM client code
