Hi Richard:
I 'reseeded' the password by invoking a dsmc i after the install and after doing an
upd node <nodename> <password> to reset the password for the web client. Now that was
puzzling because after the upd node, the password was changed when invoking the web
client, but when connecting at the command line it does not recognize the password
changed via the upd node, but does recognise the previous password.
And the backups occur with no error via the node command line.

Based on your email I tried changing the password via the web client interface and
then went to the command line and the password is now updated there. Puzzling.

Larry - This usually suggests a client option of "PASSWORDAccess Generate"
and the need to establish a password on the client, which can
be done with any client-server command run by root, like 'dsmc q sch'.
Try that and see if you get relief from this plaguing problem.
  Richard
