Is that means that a 200-300MHz P1 or P2 with 16-32MB ram will be enough
to run LyX?
On this machine the LaTeX will also run I am sure.

Dear all,
I had similar problem, when I compiled it from source
(linux, SuSe x64 10.0, GCC 4.0.2 20050901).
I had to rename the configuration directory for successful lyx start.
The configuration directory contained valid config for the 1.4.3svn!

The modified lines are dulicated, old and new lines, but how to make a
simple update like I did with cvs.

3. Insert TOC
4. click on TOC inset
I have attached a small backtrace and some info about the compile.

What are they are stand for?

independent.
Using this way we might need to change only one page for the whole site
to update the link(s) to the latest source or whatever.

I have compiled for python 2.3.5, it consist of two file (1.3MB and 16 kB).
Zipped size is 720kB.
May I ask somebody to test it?

on a newly installed machine.
In case of upgrading, you will have to download only the changed package.
Python scripts can be eleminated by compiling them to .exe with py2exe.

Also the 2.4.x python.dll is quite larger, making slower to load
at runtime. Therefore I had python 2.3.5 for packaging (to reduce donwload

all linked images to /tmp, then run eLyXer (which
converts images to PNG) and finally copy the converted images to the
destination folder. Some PDF converters do something similar, but with
in-place conversion of images to PDF files; apparently this is frowned
upon by LyX developers.
I have this pending task since almost a month ago, but am no nearer to
a solution. Any takers?

Why does eLyXer have to reference the image at its original location
/home/work/pic.eps? The generated file is not even going to be there.
Besides, absolute paths are a no-no if the html file is to be

might not be the case always.
