It is from lyx-user, I'm reposting to lyx-devel. Hopefully some kind, brave genius will know how to do a proper conversion: copy the LyX document and all linked images to /tmp, then run eLyXer (which converts images to PNG) and finally copy the converted images to the destination folder. Some PDF converters do something similar, but with in-place conversion of images to PDF files; apparently this is frowned upon by LyX developers. I have this pending task since almost a month ago, but am no nearer to a solution. Any takers? Thanks, Alex.
