If you are on Linux, you can check all links at once using eLyXer:
  $ elyxer.py Intro.lyx | wget --no-check-certificate --spider -nv -F -i -
You get a nice report with the status of all links. (By the way, the
website lyx.org is taking very long to answer.)

On Windows I'm sure there's a similar trick (a link checker for
webpages), or you can just install CygWin and use the same command.
