I guess I have the same problem:
I just downloaded the Lyx 1.6 developer edition:
ftp://ftp.devel.lyx.org/pub/lyx/pre/lyx-1.6/lyx-1.6.0-beta3/LyX-1.6.0-Beta3-Installer-Bundle.exe
and during installing my Virus Scanner (avast) alerts me about a Trojan in
the temp directory.
It is not the best virus scanner but it is up to date, so I though to tell
you.
Info:
File name: X:\temp\nspB5.tmp\nsB6.tmp
Malware name: Win32:Trojan-gen {Other}
Malware type: Virus/Worm
VPS version: 080729-0, 29.07.2008
(the name changes each start ...)
During install the warning pops up several times after these steps:
Startup
Compiling Python Scripts
Updating MikTex Filename Database
Configurating LyX
I hope it is false alarm
