wooden plug for the 5/16 ss bolt hole through the
wing. Drilled a 5/16" hole through the new bracket to use the 5/16" ss stove
bolt with nylon lock nut. Now have a spare lamp with fixture. If the lamp in
the right wing fails, then I will put in the new fixture and lamp.

ailerons, aileron balance weights, vinyl ester wing tanks, WAF outer half,

Having now checked everything after the overturn, I'm soon to start
reassembling the engine mount / engine to the air
Got the Notam on order. Cannot say for sure if I will have the aircraft
ready to go and Test hours flown by end of July. However, fly or drive, I

Bernie Wunder made a set of brackets to mount the tail dragger gear legs to
the main spar on his KR-2S. These were welded 4130 steel. Bernie gave
those steel brackets to Mark Jones. My understanding is that Mark is using
the brackets on the Wunderbird that will soon be flying.

My recommendation: If you have any cable systems in your airplane, at every
condition inspection be sure to thoroughly inspect those cables at the
pulleys . That is where they flex and likely where they will fray.

All of the control cable fittings called out in the Australian AD are roll
crimped terminations. The internal areas of the terminals that grip the
cable are not visible for corrosion inspection. Nothing in the AD about

That's because moving a wing around as per the discussion is complicated!!!.

would be 3.5 x 60 / 23 = 9.1 pounds, now no longer needed.
With the removal of the elevator balance weight and move of the ELT, the
current ballast is now: 49 - 19.45 - 9.1 = 20.45 pounds.
A pound or two at long moment arms does make a big difference.
