We use the armored FS patch from NID to ONT too. I'm not sure what hardware they use to install it, but I believe it's some variety of Telecrafter flex clip.  The idea was to cut down on issues with the customer damaging the indoor section of patch cable, and I'm told it has met that goal.

Yeah, I wouldn't use it outdoors. Possibly straight out of the back of NID on the outside wall into the unit. We just use it for the fiber wall plate to the 844G. In MDUs we run 3MM RBR bend insensitive pre-terminated on one end and splice it in the wall plate. You can also get it terminated o

If the FS is tough enough to run from the NID to the biscuit and withstand staples, tight bends and UV then it sounds pretty good. But I really like the little metal bullet end on the pre terminated Miniflex. Easy to push through a wall etc. From: Carl Peterson Sent: Thursday, August 13, 2

So... here's a situation I bet no one thought about... I have an AP at 0 degrees north, and my CPE is directly south at 180. I file as such. The AP goes offline but the CPEs now see a sector directly behind them and connect to that. Is the reported to the SAS azimuth now 0 degrees (dis

FS armored patch is different then clearfield pushable. FS has a 900um loose inside a metal spiral with a PVC jacket. CFD pushable has a 900um in gel inside a thick plastic jacket. You can't really push the FS with connectors on it, or at all really. The FS is much more flexible and doesn't kin

Well, the SAS doesn’t care. But to get authorized to transmit and to send heartbeats, the SM needs to communicate SM-AP-cnMaestro. And it needs to use that trick where a CBSD is allowed to transmit very briefly before authorization, and then the AP takes the SM under its wing and gets the gran

Well, I have managed to put a staple through it if that counts :-) If you don’t shoot the staple right through it it works fine - I just had bad aim. And for what it’s worth the cable still worked. It’s at my house so I’m not too worried about it. Hopefully our install crew uses a littl

That would make sense. The AP/SM thing is just a Cambium/CNmaestro thing. CBRS doesn't care who the parent is, it needs to know the bearing/elevation/position. Josh Luthman Office: 937-552-2340 Direct: 937-552-2343 1100 Wayne St Suite 1337 Troy, OH 45373 On Thu, Aug 13, 2020 at 10:46 AM Kurt Fa

I quit timing in minutes when I discovered one of the egg timers pictured below. Throw it in the pot in cold water with the eggs and boil until the color changes appropriately for the style of eggs you want. Since I like hard boiled it's just until all the red has changed to a darker color. My
