The problem seems to be the way nautilus assigns the icons, looking into
the mime type. For example, deb file:
gnome-mime-application-x-deb.svg doesn't work anymore and displays that
generic icon. There is a fix making a symlink from there to
application-x-deb.svg, then it works

I think a few kernels ago, rt2x00 drivers were intruduced. I don't know
if they are still there and if they are default.. check it: sudo lsmod |
grep rt2500. If rt2500pci appears, you're using the rt2x00 project
ones.. I had no luck. Blacklist them

I think in kde you could use kwifimanager to configure the wireless
card. I don't if that will work. You can also edit manually

More testing:
xfwn4 and icewm get the splash screen, and when pressiong the exit
button, no dialog will appear. Blackbox doesn't get the splash screen,
but pressing exit won't make the exit dialog appear. Fluxbox is nearly
the same: by pressing the splash screen, it dissapear. Also no exit-
dialog
maybe your right.. but this stuff has worked since breezy, and it is a
bug. A release should be as bug free as posible. I don't pretend this
little thing to be very important bug, with a high priority.. but if
there was time, would be nice somebody looked into it.

On my laptop, in gnome, I have set the xfce window manager (XFWM4) as
the default window manager in gnome (through gconf-editor), instead of
metacity. Now, every time I log into gnome, the splash screen is there
for a while.. It doesn't dissapear if clicked, but after some tim

For the Fujitsu U9200 part, I think the bug should be Closed and/or
marked as Invalid or Won't release a Fix, or something like that. In the
U9200 the BIOS has a bug, thus you had to override the BIOS tables with
a custom one that would output the correct information.

I have this same problem with gwibber-daemon, though I didn't notice it
at first. When I first used qwibber it crashed once, disappearing from
the notification panel, but now it seems to stay running. I didn't think
much of that crash, because I first stated gwibber from gnome do, but

My segfault has gone away after I did several things to my computer, I'm
not sure which was the fix, because I did them at about the same time.
1.) Besides the evolution lock up I noticed some very subtle X windows
weirdness, the weather icon sometimes failing to display in panel, mouse

g-p-m works correctly, it show AC status just fine. I was a looking at
the wrong place..
the script execute fine.. chmod did it.
