Ok, ok. First of all I would say that I'm grateful to you for your interest and 
friendly helpfulness.
I forgot to say it before. ;-)

As you stated before, running one more time the upgrading of Ubuntu should have 
fixed the problem I've had.
This has not worked for me immediately because I was also affected by the bug:

That is a specific case for the general:

After fixing that problem with the proposed workaround, I've been able to 
correctly complete the upgrade session.
