After installing Kubuntu and checking mirrors for updates (at about
80%+), Ubiquity shows the following information and quits:

I am also affected by bug #528034, keyboard setup (Germany/german) is
skipped completely and Ubiquity drives my CPU to 100% instantly, so that
it takes 20min+ only for setup+manual partitioning (I suffer from this
bug since Karmic [final!]). Really poor quality of Kubuntu, as ever! How
could you release such a f***ed up installer??? This may happen on a
nightly build, but not on a milestone release. It is not even worth
testing anymore - get your corresponding log files by yourself. Bye!
