think we are going to scrutinize the non-twisted wire installed by the
gate contractor, the majority of you feel that is the culprit and I agree.

power maybe? it only takes two conductors for the station port (t/r). If the
remaining four aren't being used, (earth) ground them at the ksu end, leave
unconnected at the gate. also rf chokes at the gate connection migh
Is there any twisted pair available to the gate?
That would help to reduce interference.

Please Help. My customer has a Linear RE1 gate controller which I have
connected directly into a port on the 624 and it works just fine as far as
visitors calling in and ringing and then opening the gate remotely.
Typical gate controller that works on DTMF tones, nothing special.
