I guess I would be interested in what is on the other four conductors ;-)

power maybe?  it only takes two conductors for the station port (t/r).  If the 
remaining four aren't being used, (earth) ground them at the ksu end, leave 
unconnected at the gate. also rf chokes at the gate connection might help 
limit noise.  a dsl microfilter works great for this.
