valve lubricant than a lead reducer.
I’ll add Decalin for this summer’s flying and see what affect it has.

My dual plug VW 2180 from Great Plains has 14mm on top and 10mm on the lower
plugs.
Your guy is correct that there is barely enough material to add the lower plugs.
This is my 3rd set of heads from GPAS and no problems with this set up

In Canada we have a 100 hour requirement for the import of any amateur built
that cannot be dismantled for inspection ( in critical areas such as spars
etc.).

The old literature I have from Diehl Aero-Nautical on the KR 2 Landing Gear
states “gear has been tested to 5Gs” .
I also have had a few bad “drop in “ landings that tested the gear to that
extent and it has never cracked or failed.

I will send you a picture of mine but they are "stock" length as per page 88 of
the KR plans.
Mine measure 5.25 inches from rod end to rod end.
I used 2 AN490htp rod ends riveted to 1/2 inch x.035 Al tubing for the rod.

I have been using the Cessna style split master switch for 300 hours on my KR2S
with no problems?
Nice to be able to isolate the alternator and battery using this switch for
troubleshooting.
I would recommend using it.

In Canada , you need to have the data plate installed permanently ( with the C
of R letters on it) before your final inspection by MD-RA.
The EAA data plate works great if you just trim off "Experimental" on the top
line. Rivet it onto the fuselage side under the stab.

Forget it. Without the box spar inspection before closing it's unlikely any CDN
MDRA inspector will pass it.
Unless you are prepared to re- skin one side of the spars after inspection, I
wouldn't buy it.

It has a VW 2180. Empty weight is 740 lbs dry.
Right within the range suggested by Mark L.
Some are fLying closer to 1200 lbs in the US.
Centre of gravity position when loaded is a critical factor to maintaining
control .

Yes, that is exactly what I used . Vans RV6 nose scoop worked perfectly on the
KR factory cowl.
Cleco it in place and use epoxy and flow to bond it .
Fits the standard K&N round filter on the carb.

If you use some cotton flox in with the epoxy resin it will act like a rivet
,when cured ,without drilling the spar.

work?
My choice was "Super Fil " lightweight filler from Aircraft Spruce Supply in
the USA.

I use the RR canvas sling seat and a 2 inch memory foam cushion that conforms
to my butt as it warms up .
At 5 foot 10 , I have an inch or so to the canopy with this set up.
