This week I need to extend my tecnical log, so I need to do the year
inspection. It is a 100 hours or a year whatever come first. I did last year 48
hours so in my opinion tis is a good vallue. With the PH-TDB I flew 2 weaks ago
to France and last weekend I did a very nice airfield

what Mark dit with the aluminium plate to install the nutpates is the best way.
I wanted to do this the same way but it was not approved bij the Dutch FAA. If
I am looking back in the time it was not nessesery for my plane. I rent a very
nice hangar on a small airfield for her, so the wing

had very bad wether so this was a new experiance for me. The total time was
about 12 hours.

repairs must i do by my own but get the materials payed. Hangar fire or damage

I made at the stubwing leadingedge fuel tanks. And a centertank at the front of
the fwd spar. This gives me 62 liter an no change in weight and ballance. I use
no headertank but have 2 fuel pumps. The option that Laury did is much easier
to make.

With the prop I have the experience that it works realy great if you have a
inflight adjustable.
The engine is making less rpm and the take off performance is very short.
If I would build it again I should use again in flight adjustible.

installing an extra oil cooler I have now in cruise with 24 c degr air the
ground an oil temp about 98 Celsius. In the climb it will go up to 120 Celsius.

after 2 months Work I made A new muffler and installed A second oilcooler in
serie. After 2 short flights the engine noice is much quiter ( reported from
people on the ground) and I think my second oil cooler solves the problem with
the high oil temp...so I am carfully positif
I have used 2024t3 alluminium 1.6 thickness. I made two stifners in the middle
and two small tubes to the next wooden member to support the pannel. Works
great. To cut the holes I did everyting with a taperrouter. You need to
practice a bit but if you now the trick you are free to cut everythin

and oke with the landings. Only with the crosswind I was not able to train with

We have 2 litium batteries. I made steel boxes around them, this seals the
fire. I made also thermocouples in them so if one getteing hot I switch this
one off. And using the backup batterie. The fire is safe in the box. One box
including batterie is 1600 gram. Somis save a lot off weight.

Ha ha finaly.. 2 month ago we had our first flight.
After a lot of discusion (I have 290 hours and a lot of arobatic experiance) I
decited not to do the first flight. I found a retired captain with one million
hours and a lot of planes types.

This week was the PH-TDB for the first time airborn. Very emotional moment.
At the last moment my test pilot decited to go aloneno problem, so I stayed
on the ground.

I will take more relax to my testing fase. I will leave the high speed taxi
test for what it is. I have to waight till my test pilot will come in.
The speed I did was till 20 kts. Everything feels great. Only strainge rumbling
sound from the nose. Dont think it is nose wheel s
To go to the 40 kts was also my idea, but I hoped to take the nose off the
ground. If I reed your all ideas this is not a good idea.
So I will do a run up just like a normal take off and abort at 40 / 45 kts. No
backpress to the stick

The parking brake an easy fix, what a few krnetheads told me release the
pressure at the brake side solves the problem. I did a few parking brake test
with les force and I had no compliant anymore.

Yesterday we moved our plane to the airport. This was already a beautiful
moment. But also a bit stress full. Wil it all be oke on the trailer. WE arived
safe at the airport. Installed the wings, checked everyting. Did a runup test
so I could starting with the first taxi test.

Ordered new tube an made a new foot system with stronger tubes (1.5mm wall)

If you can get 2024T3 material instead of the 6061 it is much better. I know
in the homebuild marked the 6061 is used very much because it is so easy to
produce a part. But it is so very soft. As a prof sheetmetalworker I realy hate
