Hi all, Last week I did A very Nice flight, about 1:45 min. It feels very relaxed. After 1,5 hour I get a ratling noice in the headsets. A inflight troubles shooting gaves me the result that it defenetly not A damaged headset.
So a search a needle in a haystack Begin. I checked all the wiring in the plane..no foult found. Did a test run to find out more info for an answer., So result was...ratling noice started at 1000 RPM Not respondent to my squalge. responding to my volume. If I did a radio check I did not hear the noice in my side tone. The tower gave me a 5 for the radiocheck. For the final check, I installed the radio from a friend of my (also trig) and did again a test run. Result was much better, the noice was there only If I listen with two frequenties. So I callwed the dealer from the radio. Hé told me to do first A software update before surching further. Yesterday I went to the dealer for the update, hé told me that if the problem was not solved, it can be from my alternator or the sparkplug/bobine. Installed the Update radio in the plane, went for a Engine run....result was beter but still the ratling noice If I listen to 2 freq. So I started to remove the bobine`S and found a small broken wire........this Wase the mass cable that connect the cilinder direct to center part off the engine. (not the main mass cable). This small wire I still cant beleive this will couse the noice. So I have learn my lessons, all your mass cable must be in a good shape. this weekeind I am starting to rebuild my KR because I removed everything. And hope to be in the air again soon. Keep up the spirit to finish your project.....
