With N6399U (RAF48 airfoil, stock plans) I referenced a best glide speed of
about 80-85mph solo, and about 85-90mph with two aboard. This gave me a glide
ratio of “about“ 9:1.
I am not sure what the glide speed/ratio would be on a KR2S with the AS504X
airfoil, but I suspect it would be

Similar to Roger, I have been plagued by the Cheng Shin Lamb 11-400x5 tires
going flat for unknown reasons, even with the 8 ply tires.
My KR is 650 lbs empty, takeoff solo is about 925 lbs, Max gross is 1150;

design, however has anyone out there ever started a 4-seater KR design?

Recently, I had to change my oil cooler, as my old (plated) Revmaster oil
cooler had cracked. Not wanting to wait a week for shipping, I went to Auto
Zone and bought a Tube/Fin design, and for all intents and purposes, it fit
perfectly. Nearly the same size as the Revmaster, so all I did was zip

Folks, I solved my alternator problem today. Was a rather unusual fix, but
it solved my problem for a very low price (only about $50), and I can't be
more happy about that.
Background: 2100D alternator not charging shortly after engine rebuild. I
initially suspected my voltage regulator was bad

option in their shop. Not a problem if you are

stock heads due to a crack between the valves (typical VW crack). After a
lot of research and consideration, I decided on the MOFOCO 041 heads. I
was mainly attracted by how there is still a bit of meat between the
valves
In order to gain a little more power, I am considering upgrading to 94mm
pistons/cylinders, as well as upgrading the camshaft in my Revmaster
2100D. Doing so will yield the following setup.
1) 94mm Pistons/Cylinders (Displacement of 2165 cc vs 2074 cc)
2) CB 2232 or CB 2280 Camshaft
3) MOFOCO 041
Also, please ignore the "Revmaster Upgrade" in the title; was going to ask
some questions regarding some simple power upgrades for the R-2100D, but it
can wait for another time!
