Guys, unfortunately all good things must come to an end and I think it is time to sell N6399U.
Lots of info here on the net, and some pictures on the web, however the short of it is; Stock KR2S Plans Built Tri-Gear RAF48 airfoil Revmaster 2100D - 80 HP (upgraded) 94mm cylinders/pistons MOFOCO 041 Heads SDS Dual Coil CPI Ignition CB2232 Camshaft with new Cam Gear 60 Amp Alternator (automotive style, no external voltage regulator) Compression Ratio - 9.5:1 (rec. 100LL only) 150 SMOH (rebuilt by me summer 2020) Q2 4-in-1 Exhaust - sale comes with extra exhaust Stock VW Oil cooler Oil/valves serviced every 25 hours since rebuild Sterba 56” x 56” Prop - 3” Hub Fiberglass Spinner 1100’ Takeoff Roll 1000-1100 fpm climb (solo) 500-700 fpm climb (gross) Empty Weight - 650 lbs Gross - 1150 lbs Fuel Capacity - 12 gallons (header) Cruise Speed - 110-112 knots (no wheel pants) @ 2800 RPM Fuel Burn - 5 gph (average) Range - 200-220NM with 30 minute VFR reserve Basic VFR gauges. RPM on SDS Control Panel Radio - Yaesu Handheld with PTT: has VOR/ILS capability as well. Transponder - Bendix King with Mode C No ADSB NAV/Pos/Strobe LED all in one unit - night capable. No landing light Auxiliary Aileron Trim Tab Auxiliary elevator trim tab New pilot side tire Passenger side tire okay Brakes work well; plenty of padding left Pros: Very Solid running engine with low time since overhaul and a lot of newer parts/components. Flies straight and level with both auxiliary trim tabs. Propeller is smooth with almost no vibration from the fiberglass spinner. Radio still works well even at ranges of 50+ NM despite being a handheld. Others: External Cowling could be redone by somebody with better composite skills than myself. Engine cowling (internal) could use some work as well, however engine temperatures are always within limits when I fly. Elevator trim tab (conventional spring/cable style) could use some tightening, and the plane has a pitch down tendency without the auxiliary trim tab installed (with the trim tab it will fly straight and level). Probably needs upgraded to the Ray Allen servo style in the future. Finally (for the hardcore builder), the panel could use some cleaning up. Overall: what this plane lacks cosmetically from the front cowling and some small paint areas here and there on the wings, it more than makes up for in performance. This plane would be terrific for the first time owner, or for a current builder who wants something to fly in the meantime while finishing up their own plane. I have over 200 hours in this aircraft, and it has never let me down, and I very comfortable saying it won’t let you down either if properly cared for. Asking price; $16500 (but negotiable) Wanted to post on here to the KR audience, before posting on Barnstormers or Trade a Plane. I will be out of town until the 15th, however I can still respond to emails and texts until then! Thank you all and have a great day!
