Press F8 and you should get a popup menu which will let you switch to and
from fullscreen mode.

Hi,
If I run the unix vncviewer in fullscreen mode, how do I get out of
fullscreen mode to see my other "native" windows. All I can think of is
to login to the host running the viewer and kill it. Is there a better
way, like with the Windows viewer?

hi gang,
I am trying to automate the vnc viewer attachment from my Linux box to my
W2000 box with :
vncviewer w2000box:0 -passwd passwordfile -fullscreen
The question is how do I create the passwordfile ?
Thanks

James,
Good call, I went to the ORL directory and set the rights so that System had
full control. I was then able to start VNC as a service again. Strange I've
never had to manually do this before with VNC but now I feel better about
patching the rest of my servers. I would hate to lose the cont

Update: I am now getting the Runtime Error even when I use the non-shared
re-initiation of the session.
Other Information:
I didn't state this before, but the runtime error is a Microsoft Visual C++
Runtime Library error message.
Also of note, when I exit Outlook after receiving the error
Back Orifice is located on SourceForge.net (yes it's always been an open
source program, which is why it's such a pain as a virus).
I personally like the power of Back Orifice, but the Desktop power of VNC is
much better.
I think there is someone trying to combine the Desktop control of VNC with

I've experienced a bug similar to the CAPS LOCK bug, with other modifier
keys as well (shift, alt). The best way I've found to fix this problem is to
press the particular modifier key in question a few times. Seems to work.
I've seen this bug on multiple clients (Linux, Solaris, Mac VNCThing), so

James,
I ran through the same steps again but used the command line rather than the
GUI and the system still will not allow the VNC service to start. When
trying to start the service I just get an access denied. The settings are
configured for Log on as Automatic, also set for local system accoun
Hi, I haven't found a solution to my problem yet. Does this mean that
there are users out there that are successfully using vncviewer with a
depth greater than 8 on solaris?
Here is more info about my configuration:
+ VNC 3.3.3r2 Binary Distribution for Unix
+ Solaris SunOS 5.7
+ X server
That has been done.

Other than the fact that the Back Orifice 2000 web home seems to no longer
exist, here are a couple of links that users should consider before using
this program.
The first comes from the Symantec Anti-Virus Research Center:
