So far I've had no trouble with my Paselas, but I'm running 26 x 1.5's. Perhaps the 700's are more problematic? I like the Marathons for heavy-dut stuff -- I'm using some 26 x 1.75's on my Big Dummy -- but for regular street riding the Paselas seem fine after three years of almost daily use. -- Y

In my experience w/ Paselas over the last 15 years or so, they have been the best tires I can find (light, roll great, cheap), but are prone to sidewall problems. They are much lighter and livelier than Marathons (total dogs, YMMV) and when I can get them on sale for $15 each, I don't mind the lon
