I'd say that was a good description of the ride. It was also my longest ride of the year. My AHH performed great as always. It was cold and windy. I thought that my feet would be plenty warm in wool socks but my right foot was frozen solid the second half of the ride. It is a nice course and a certainly will do it again. Not only did I not see any Rivendells besides Eric's and mine, I hardly saw any other riders (probably fewer than 10). I got an early start and I think a lot of people chose to stay home.
No photos from me. I was too cold to mess with taking out my phone for photos. Nothing like riding with mittens in May in Minnesota.
