I have had the same sidewall experience as you with the Pasela, but
have been very happy with other Panaracer tires, like the Fire XC Pro,
still going strong on my mountain bike after three years. I'm
considering 37mm Schwalbe Marathon Supremes for the Quickbeam, but at
$70 each, it won't be soon.
