The last two Paselas I bought 700 x 35 non-tourguard, both had sidewall issues from the outset. There were the starts of tears in the sidewalls from the time I mounted them. I think at least in some cases it is a manufacturing issue. In the past, I have had decent luck with Paselas. I am starting to move away from them. I just put 700 x35 Marathon Racers on my AHH and I like them a lot.
