I had a pair of 32s on my Schwinn that I ran at 80 PSI, which lasted about 3500 miles without a single flat before I tore a sidewall when I crashed the bike on a storm drain. They were my favorite tires I've ever had.
I have 700x35 Marathons (measure closer to 38) on my Trek 520 and absolutely hated them for about 1500 (flat free) miles before I finally dropped the pressure to about 60 PSI and now I'm starting to like them, and they don't feel any slower -- if anything, they feel faster at the lower pressure.
