After installing audible manager and determining which folder books are
being downloaded to, audible support can tell you how to disable audible
manager in the settings so you can just go to your download folder and copy
and past as some of do with nls books.

Yes, and I have a degree in radio television film and 192 is the correct
rate for a cd. If you want to save hard drive space, you can go lower, but
one can hear the difference.

Hi,
for speech I would suggest 44.1 and 64 kbps. If it is a performance, sound
seeing tour, or historical event I would consider either 96 or 128 for
speech only. This does not apply to the earlier posts on music and cd
quality.

I am building a new xp machine and I have old serial decTalk and accent
synthesizers. I use my delta card for recording so I need to know if anyone
has used a serial to usb converter to run older external synthesizers.
I know new versions of Jaws will run two devices from the install menu, but
I know one man who has a 32 gig card. It slows down browsing his library,
but he likes it.

Older macs will work with a program called "outspoken" You might be able to
find a used version. The founder of that company died and I don't know if it
is still sold. IMO, you would be much better off with a pc. The program
didn't work very well. I know it wouldn't work with audio programs like p
