Yes, it should normalize all the files. If you don't like the sound you get,
use ctrl z to undue the process...

hello friends, firstly, let me apologise for bringing up this subject again,
but i haven't got it straight yet, let me put you in the picture, i have
recorded a thirty minute piece, it consists of five slots, each about six
minutes in length, the first two are fine, the second two are at somewhat
lower levels than the first two, and the final slot is at the same level as
the first two, if i normalise the whole audio file, [i'm using sound forge]
will that bring all the files to the same level?? when saving the file my
computer says "building peaks"  i would really be grateful if this could be
explained to me in  laymans terms, i am no computer whizzkid, hope someone
can help, regards, joe.
