Well, I downloaded and read up on handbrake features. I was able to compress a iMovie .produced m4v file with a change of 60mb down to 20mb file size using the .h264 codex and an rf (rate factor) of 20 (60%). I guess that's about all I really need to do with handbrake is compress the file sizes

Maybe you downloaded and installed the windows version of TC? It sounds like that app is set to open under windows and so fusion and windows are launched in order to run TC. How that happens I don't know exactly. BTW: the windows version of TC works quite well, better than the Mac version imo.

Actually, you need to let the MAC's Bootcamp assistant Utility do the partitioning for you I think. Better safe than sorry at any rate. For space, I have a 500GB HD on my 2011 iMac. I just split it down the middle 256GB for MAC and Windows each. I've never even come close to using anything like
