Well, like a few others here, I took advantage of what seemed to be a "too good
to be true" price for Fusion5 from Dell. $14 (plus shipping brought it up
around $22). I just installed it and am told that it is not yet licensed.
Neither is There a Product/license key anywhere on the packaging, which
consists of a quickstart guide, the DVD in a plain paper sleeve, and a stupid
little VMWare Fusion sticker depicting a stick figure man with the word
"Fusion" underneath him (like I'm going to proudly display that sticker
somewhere).
I fear I've been duped! I think what I bought was the perverbial "hard copy
backup DVD" that vendors try to push on you when buying software through
digital download.

yes, I fear we've been duped my fello bargain hunters!
Already out $22 for the DVD, I now get to shell out an additional $49 or
whatever the price is to buy a license key from VMWare on their website.

What a con! Playing on a person's "something for nothing" fever - it always
works
