Maybe you downloaded and installed the windows version of TC? It sounds like 
that app is set to open under windows and so fusion and windows are launched in 
order to run TC.
How that happens I don't know exactly.

BTW: the windows version of TC works quite well, better than the Mac version 
imo. So, maybe stick with the windows version?
I keep an instance of fusion with windows7  suspended running so I can quickly 
get at windows apps I use without having to launch and boot. It doesn't 
interfere with Mac operations and all I need to do is "resume" windows to get 
at windows apps.
