and if it seems less responsive than before, move it the other way. :)
Seems crude but you can definitely do it without sighted assistance.

Have any bookshare subscribers who use Mountain Lion downloaded any books since
updating? I keep hitting download in daisy and nothing is happening. I've
tried VO plus space, as well as hitting the enter key. Not a thing is
happening, not even an error message.

I think it's just buggy.

Ok, I have another suggestion if you can't figure out how to do the other
suggestions you've been given. You could call the Accessibility support number
at 877-204-3930. They are good at that number; I know. I've called it several
times. They are also real nice at that number, too
VO F1 twice is exactly what I mean. It shows the system dialogue every time, if
one is present.

I have found two ways around this. One is as I said earlier; lock the control
and option keys with control option semicolon. Then you don't have to press the
control and option keys, and you press the same command to get out.

Without having verified this, could it be the book is downloaded already? If
you check your downloads folder by pressing command option l, you'll be in a
list of your downloads. Vo right to get to this table and you can interact with
it to see what's there.

I would love to get rid of office, I absolutely hate it. However, most of the
working world is using it. My wife has to use it every day. She wants to work
from home and is afraid of incompadabilities between office and IWorks, I
thought the files could be interchanged without a problem, but,
you need at least 8GB drive in order to make it a bootable start up volume.

verified disk, and I did this from the recovery partition. Have you got any

utility. There's tabs in this order: speech, Braille, text, announcements, and
hints. I'd be grateful if someone could direct me where to turn off the

right arrow to simulate home and end respectively should work.
Also, try option up arrow or down arrow to get to the first or last message in

Yesterday afternoon, I had a strange situation on my macbook air with 10.8
installed.
Voiceover was doing strange and I decided to restart voiceover but this
wouldn't work.
I have done a normal reboot but voiceover wouldn't work also.
Then, I decided to do a permission and disc repair
lol i'm not even getting it to work that much and a system dialogue comes up
with a menu that just says open speech commands etc.
will try rebooting see if that works.
any ideas would be appreciated though.
