Heh. I actually rather love that noise, and in fact I love the blooping noise 
that the auto-correct thing makes, specifically because it's loud enough that I 
can hear it and realize I've made a typo, go back and fix it before 
auto-whatever could.  The whole process is speeded up considerably by those 
noises.  It does it in TextEdit when you're reading over text, and it's 
supposed to do it as you type; I haven't tried that in new kitty yet, and in 
fact I do hope it works the way it does in Mail, as it would speed my writing 
up immensely to be notified of most typos immediately upon making them.  YAY 
little weird blooping noises!
