I am consistently getting seg faults when trying to run LyX 1.1.4(fix3) on
machines with 8bit X displays. The binary is running from a central machine.
It works fine on displays 16bit+.
Using:
lyx -private
causes it to work properly. Using -Mono or -depth 8 etc does not.

I created a new file in Koma book format and wrote some text as Part I. I then
needed to make cross references from another file in the same directory and
created Part II and loaded this other file using menu item Insert > File >
LyxDocument.
