Selecting a large region with the mouse (bigger than a displayed page)
for cutting or copying in lyx is currently difficult in long documents
because when you drag the cursor off the bottom of the page, new pages
flip by very rapidly. Here are two suggestions as to how to solve
that problem:

1. Borrow an idea from xterm and make a click of the right mouse
button extend an existing selection. This way one could select a
small region at the beginning of the desired selection, scroll down to
the desired point, and extend the selection.

2. Add a keyboard shortcut similar to the mark command in emacs, which
initiates a selection. A second keyboard command could then actually
do the selection.

Thanks for creating such a nice piece of software! I have just
installed 1.3, and I especially appreciate the improvements to the
equation editor.
