-- Yes, I am sure it would. I have been trying to do this for about two weeks. However, it appears there does not seem to be a single reliable stimulus, which could point to multiple things happening or it could point to a delay in the action of a given stimulus, or some combination of both. On this same machine, I almost never had this with 1.3.6 which was my previous version. I dont know if that helps. Would it help if you had more of these reports? In that case, I would continue to start lyx preceded with the core dump pre-requisite commands. samar
