Oh, there is another problem, now. Please do not apply patch. When you
change the selection with mouse, cursor goes to the beginning of the
section. With keyboard there is no problem.

then associate with the demote button it would automatically be disabled

purely display thing.
That's not 100% true IMO. Some toolbar buttons reflect the document state and you can modify the
document with them. Have a look at the various toggle buttons.

Hi all,
I finally fixed enough problems to get LyX generating output. Latest
svn.
Now I am rather surprised to find that anywhere a hyphen occurs in the
document, the resulting PDF has text on top of the hyphen as though it
doesn't count as a space. In fact, the spaces before and after the
hyphen
