There's been some talk here about VOIP in various incarnations and
Panasonic switches. I thought I'd post our recent experiences with
integrating Skype. www.skype.com
Skype is, at it's heart, a PC to PC phone service not unlike some of the
IM voice calling services. But it's also more than that
A used KX-TD1232 can probably be had on Ebay for perhaps $ 300. I haven't
looked recently, but you'll probably find one or more on sale right now.
This is certainly less than the cost of repair or new replacement and would
solve the problem quickly.

Ocassionally my TA824 does the same thing, but I have always blamed
the voice mail system operating in inband mode and taking a little
extra time to be notified that the ringing extension has been
answered. One extension rings one phone here after the call has been
directed via Auto Attendant.

The 500/2500 is really quite a design. It was the first and leading set
to compensate for a wide range of loop resi

Hi,
I have a residential 824 system, 2 CO lines, and 15 analog 7735 series phones.
Several issues I can't figure out, hence "ask the experts"...
1. When the CO line rings and a peron lifts the receiver, it takes a long time
(one and half seconds at least) for the line LED to turn from red to gr
Hello,
I have an issue that I will like to share with you. I have established a
connection between a TDA100 and TDA30, through VoIP cards 484.
When a call from TDA100 is routed to TDA30 lets say from DISA and then
transferred back to TDA100, the system keeps 2 channels of VoIP open. The

Have you ever had a 7030 series phones on a KXTD system? They work on
the KXTD's but no where near as good as the 74 series does. The new 76

race car and installing regular tires on it. You will never get to

It sound like you had a power surge, then a failure. Initial damage is what
is immediately discernable. Then you have the effect of that stress on the
life expectancy on the circuit components. I would replace it, rather than
risk many callbacks and a peeved customer.

You can use them as system phones. The power
draw is 4 times that of a 7600 series
Yes, 7433 phones wil work with proper power supply on the TDA.

My opinion would be to go new TDA100 or 200 depending on the amount of old sets
you have. Repair would be expensive and not worth it, in my opinion. Also, the
client should look at the insurance policy. I had a client get a new system
with new phones, and it was all covered due to a power hit. B
Sounds like perhaps a phone (or two) are bad...how many sets are
dead/flashing? A short on the data pair (caused by a bad phone) will usually
affect 4 ports on the KSU. Unplug all dead/flashing sets, reset the KSU,
then plug them back in one by one. It's possible that there is a short in
